How we research
Editorial Policy
A transparent standard for independent software comparisons and buying guides.
TradeTechPick exists to help trades and home-service businesses make considered software decisions. Our work should remain useful even when a reader never clicks a product link.
Evidence and research
We prioritise current official product pages, pricing pages, help documentation and contractual terms. Time-sensitive facts are dated. Where a provider does not publish a material detail, we say it is unavailable rather than infer it.
Testing and experience
We clearly distinguish public-information research, structured trials and genuine hands-on use. We never describe a product as tested, used or implemented unless that work actually occurred.
How products are selected
Selection criteria include audience fit, core workflow, mobile use, implementation, pricing structure, data access and support. A commercial relationship is not a selection criterion. Not every credible product can appear in every guide.
Rankings and recommendations
Labels such as “best for” describe editorial fit for a defined buyer and set of requirements, not a universal winner. Readers should verify plan details and test representative jobs before purchasing.
Affiliate independence
Affiliate commissions may fund the publication. They do not guarantee coverage, placement or a positive conclusion. Affiliate links are labelled and use the rel="sponsored" attribute.
Images
Editorial images may be generated and are captioned as illustrations. Generic interfaces are not presented as actual product screenshots.
Corrections
Send evidence-backed corrections to hello@tradetechpick.com. We assess the cited source, correct material errors and update the review date when substantive facts change.
